ADDITIONAL SCHEDULE OF MOVIES ANNOUNCED FOR FOLLOWING WEEKS, INCLUDING THE GREAT GATSBY AND SHAZAM!
OPEN FROM THURSDAY 9TH JULY UNTIL SATURDAY 1ST AUGUST – VISITORS URGED TO RESERVE EARLY
Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE, July 9th 2020: The first weekend at the Yas Drive In Cinema in partnership with Reel Cinemas has completely sold out, but movie fans wishing to attend Abu Dhabi’s latest attraction have no need to worry with the announcement of more films to be shown at the venue over the coming weeks, including The Great Gatsby, Shazam! and Horrible Bosses.
The purpose-built venue, located at Yas Marina Circuit, is preparing to open its doors to members of the public on Thursday July 9th with the showing of Mad Max Fury Road, followed by Joker and Crazy Rich Asians on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th respectively.
Such has been the demand for tickets, all three nights are now completely sold out.
Tickets, however, are still available for next weekend, with the line-up of films featuring Gravity (July 16th), which stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, Ready Player One (July 17th) and A Star is Born (July 18th), a huge hit from 2018 featuring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
Now, more movies have been announced for the coming weeks, and film fans can look forward to a vast selection of box-office hits spanning a variety of genres.
The latest schedule of movies to be announced is as follows:
Thursday July 23rd – The Martian
Friday July 24th – The Revenant
Saturday July 25th – The Great Gatsby
Thursday July 30th – Training Day
Friday July 31st – Shazam!
Saturday August 1st – Horrible Bosses
The Yas Drive In Cinema provides guests with the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing night out in unique surroundings, while watching a movie from the comfort of your vehicle. Movie soundtracks, meanwhile, will be played through a dedicated radio channel for visitors’ car stereos.
With popcorn, chocolate, soft drinks and water included in the price of the ticket, and additional F&B available for order, the full cinematic experience is guaranteed at Yas Island’s must-visit attraction.

With the health and safety of both staff and customers of paramount importance, a number of measures have been implemented in accordance with Government directives to ensure the health and well-being of everybody inside the venue, including a 65-car limit to abide by the social distancing regulations, temperature checking with hand-held devices for all guests on arrival and the availability of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) should it be required.
As an added safety precaution, prayer rooms, along with shower and locker facilities, will not be available at any time, while every effort has been made to ensure the customer experience is as contactless as possible, right from the initial online purchase of tickets to departing the venue at the conclusion of the movie.
Guests will also be required to wear facemasks if windows are lowered to speak to event staff, and when leaving their vehicles at any point throughout the event. Restrooms will be available onsite and customers attending should be aware that additional payments are cashless.
