Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE, 28 February 2021: Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM) today announces the launch of an extended strategic, long-term partnership with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). The partnership will come to life across a wider number of health and fitness programmes to visitors, alongside enhancements at Yas Marina Circuit’s Racing School and Kartzone, which will initiate wider future collaboration with ADNOC Distribution and the ADNOC Rewards programme.
Supporting the health and fitness community and providing more ways to enjoy participation in motorsport at all levels will be key areas of focus, with ADNOC playing a pivotal role in the evolution of these particular pillars throughout 2021 and beyond.
As part of the partnership, Yas Marina Circuit’s ComYAS health & fitness events, such as TrainYAS, TrainYAS Ladies and TriYAS, will be in partnership with ADNOC, which will also include bespoke fitness programmes for thousands of employees at the leading oil company.
A key highlight in the programme, is the welcome return of a regular ladies only evening at Yas Marina Circuit. ADNOC TrainYAS Ladies presented by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, due to launch on March 8, which also marks International Women’s Day, opens its doors for ladies to enjoy the complimentary bicycles provided by Abi Dhabi Cycling Club and to run or walk at the circuit.
Now in its 10th year, the ComYAS programme has played an integral role in giving members of the local community an opportunity to train in a safe and unique environment on a weekly basis.
The partnership will also lead to the re-branding and improved customer experience at various areas of the Circuit’s offerings, with Yas Kartzone and DriveYAS now to be known as Yas Kartzone presented by ADNOC and DriveYAS presented by ADNOC respectively. The partnership will provide audiences new ways to purchase and engage with Yas Marina Circuit’s exciting calendar of activity, as ADNOC fuel stations will start to offer direct access to Yas Marina Circuit event tickets and driving experiences. The partnership is one which has developed over time with ADNOC previously playing a key role in Yas Marina Circuit events and activations. A main partner of the FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX in both 2020 and 2019, ADNOC also partnered with the Yas in Schools initiative, which aims to inspire and develop “The Engineers of the Future” by ensuring they are equipped with 21st Century skills and developing their passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects.
ADMM’s Yas Marina Circuit currently engages a significant proportion of the local community, with health & fitness events alone at the venue having attracted a footfall of 1.2 million since starting 10 years ago, making it one of the region’s most popular and iconic community venues.
Saif Al Noaimi, Acting CEO, ADMM, said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce the extension of what has been a hugely successful, and mutually beneficial, partnership with ADNOC.
“Yas Marina Circuit provides a platform for athletes across the board to hone their skills and talent, to inspire the local community and just to get the population active. The partnership will ensure this theme continues on an even larger scale.
“Through this partnership we are able to connect with ADNOC’s team of people and bring exciting events at Yas Marina Circuit to larger numbers, as well as look to provide members of the ADNOC Rewards programme new ways to access the wide array of events and experiences at the circuit.
“We are truly looking forward to continuing the fantastic work we have already produced together.”
ADNOC CEO QUOTE: “This extension of the strategic partnership with ADMM is one which will prove particularly beneficial for Abu Dhabi residents, and we are extremely pleased to play a part in this important development for the local community.
“Having worked with ADMM on a number of high-profile events in the past, we are thrilled to continue what has always been a key relationship for us. “As well as being one of the world’s most iconic Formula 1 venues, Yas Marina Circuit serves as a fitness and experience hub for the community throughout the year, and we look forward to helping take this programme on to the next level.”
