AUGUST MOVIES ANNOUNCED FOR YAS DRIVE-IN CINEMA PRESENTED BY YAS ISLAND

Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE, August 4th, 2020: Following the incredible success of the Yas Drive-In Cinema presented by Yas Island during its opening month, the latest selection of movies to be shown throughout August, including The Greatest Showman and Love Actually, have now been announced.
The list of movies spans a multitude of genres, and with children now permitted to attend the venue, family favourites such as The Lion King and Frozen 2 have been added.
The Yas Drive-In Cinema presented by Yas Island opened early last month and proved an immediate success among the Abu Dhabi community with the first three weekends of screenings completely sold out.
Located inside a purpose-built venue at Yas Marina Circuit, the Drive-In Cinema provides a unique experience for film fans, who can watch screenings from the comfort of their own vehicle without having to step foot outside. Movie soundtracks, meanwhile, are played through a dedicated radio channel for visitors’ car stereos.
Demand has been so high that customers wishing to attend are advised to book in advance, via yasmarinacircuit.com or reelcinemas.ae, in order to avoid disappointment.
In line with government directives, there is a limit of three people per car if guests are not from the same family, or five guests per vehicle if they are all from the same family.
Tickets are priced 160 AED per vehicle, with a selection of snacks included in the price. Additional F&B is available inside the venue.
On the opening weekend of August, both Trolls and Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom will be shown, while a week later film fans can choose from The Lion King, IT and Love Actually.
On Thursday August 20 there will be two screenings, with children’s favourite Frozen 2 starting at 6.45pm, before The Greatest Showman, starring Hugh Jackman, follows at 9.15pm.
Fans of the 1980s will be delighted to hear Back to the Future, featuring Michael J. Fox, will be shown on Friday August 21.

With the health and safety of both staff and customers of paramount importance, a number of measures have been implemented in accordance with Government directives to ensure the health and well-being of everybody inside the venue, including temperature checking with hand-held devices for all guests on arrival and the availability of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) should it be required.
As an added safety precaution, prayer rooms, along with shower and locker facilities, will not be available at any time, while every effort has been made to ensure the customer experience is as contactless as possible, right from the initial online purchase of tickets to departing the venue at the conclusion of the movie.
Guests will also be required to wear facemasks if windows are lowered to speak to event staff, and when leaving their vehicles at any point throughout the event.
