Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE 4 April, 2019: This weekend Yas Marina Circuit will witness dramatic high-octane drag racing as the ‘Queen or King of the Street’ is officially crowned in the 2019 edition of Yas Super Street Challenge.
The last chance for drivers to win the championship title, Hisham Ibrahim is currently the person to beat going into the fourth round and final round of action with Waleed Mohammed and last year’s ‘Queen of the Street’, Olena Bublik, making up the chasing pack.
The Yas Super Street Challenge features some of the best street racers from across the UAE, GCC and Russia who battle it out at Yas Marina Circuit.
In the 4x4 Super Street SUV Category, Omar Matar is currently top of the standings, but Khalid Khalaf and Mohammad Juma are hot on his heels.
Yas Super Street Challenge is one of the region’s most grueling urban racing series, with more than 50 modified cars battling it out on the track with drivers also competing in the Index 9.0, Index 10.5 and Index 11.5 categories.
Cash prizes totalling over AED 100,000 will be shared between the combined field across the five categories at this weekend’s final round of racing to decide the 2019 Yas Super Street Challenge.
Fans of motorsport are invited to come along and watch the action unfold this Thursday for the qualifying and the finals this Friday.
